JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to join our team in Mississauga and support the Napier Wealth practice at Assante Capital Management Ltd. The associate advisor role will play a crucial part in supporting growth initiatives and assisting to administer and service existing clients. The ideal candidate will function as a multi disciplinary worker who will have specific responsibilities but can also adapt to various challenges and projects. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and motivated to grow and learn within a young, up and coming practice that seeks to embrace the future of the industry. Napier Wealth functions as a discretionary portfolio manager and offers holistic financial planning and insurance services.
In this role, the successful candidate will have the following:
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education (ideally BBA or MBA or other relevant business/finance/economics degree)
- 1-2 years of client service experience (ex. call centre or client facing), (ideally with a financial services company).
- 2-3 years of experience within the financial services industry.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Wealth Management Essentials (WME), Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) or enrolled/expecting to enrol and aiming to complete within 6-12 months.
- Strong consideration will be given for an already existing advisor with a small book of clients who wishes to join a discretionary practice.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, while paying attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT, Calendly, DocuSign, and Salesforce is an asset.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate service with existing clients
- Answer general client service emails and calls.
- Process client withdrawal requests.
- Update and maintain New Account Application Forms (NAAFs)
- Liaise with Assante back office on transfers, administration errors, and maintenance issues.
- Data entry of Financial Plans on the software system.
- Assist in coordinating mass mailings.
- Assist with creating and organizing ‘Know Your Product’ (KYP) analysis.
- Help troubleshoot and implement AI use cases.
